Forward and Reverse Alignment

Just as 'forward alignment' (described in earlier concepts) focuses on customers in the consuming marketplace, the mirror image occurs on the reverse or source markets side, ie., for organizations purchasing inputs for their logistics systems it is important to understand the 'dominant selling behaviours' of their prospective suppliers; we call this phenomenon 'reverse alignment'.
